Description
Silver back Lodge located at one of the Mountains in Bwindi is a permanent lodge that overlooks the Bwindi forest at Buhoma where gorilla trekking trips begin.
The lodge is set in its own gardens and comprises of an Indoor bar that serves a variety of local and premium drinks as well as cocktails which are served by the resident bar man.
The 12 guest rooms with balconies are attached on one large block and feature a main bedroom with double beds as well as twin bed options. The rooms are en-suite with private overhead showers, private hand wash basins and toilets.
Silver back also features a main dinning hall with sweeping views of the entire Bwindi Valley and the neighboring communities of Buhoma offering communal and private dinning depending on the needs of the guests.
The lodge is accessible by road which is approximately 5 hours from the Queen Elizabeth National park Mweya sector, 4 hours from Rwanda or Kabale, 9 hours drive from Kampala or Entebbe or an hour’s flight from Entebbe on scheduled daily flights.
The lodge offers airstrip transfers and also organizes gorilla trekking permits for visits to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on the gorilla treks.
