The Clouds Lodge is located in the Mountains at the southern gorilla trekking National park of Bwindi. At over 6000 feet above sea level, high in the Impenetrable forest, the Clouds gorilla Lodge offers unparalleled views of the Volcanoes of Mubabura, Gahinga, Sabyinyo, Bisoke, Karisimbi and the entire Volcanoes into Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This Luxurious lodge offers a fully inclusive package that covers full breakfasts, 5 course Lunches and Candlelit dinners which is produced from the fresh organic foods source locally from the local communities. Drinks for local brand beers, sodas, fresh passion fruit or Water Melon juice, house wines and bottled water are included in the price. Laundry and the spa complete the gorilla trekking experience at this Luxury gorilla lodge.
Rooms are based on stone cottages built out of the Volcanic rock. They comprise of a log fire place, main bed room with comfy rustic beds, a private suite, private wash rooms with hot and cold running water harvested from the mountain springs.
Clouds Lodge a conservation symbiotic project with the International Gorilla Conservation Project and the local communities offers a revenue sharing agreement where the farms that are destroyed by the Mountain gorillas are compensated from the proceeds of the accommodation generated from the lodge.
The lodge offers pick up transfers for the gorilla safaris into the Virunga area. Guests arriving by Air on scheduled or chartered flights on Aerolink are transported to the Lodge by custom built safari Vehicles.
