Description
One Day safari to Lake Mburo national Park
Day One: One Day safari to Lake Mburo begins with a morning pick up from your residence or Hotel. Start a hasty drive through the Kampala traffic through the Mpanga forest. Thereafter, the Uganda Equator where a stop to take a look around will take only a couple of minutes for a picture opportunity. Later, drive through the Masaka and probably see the broad billed rollers and the Long Crested Eagle on the electric lines. The drive into the Lake Mburo National park begins with sightings of Zebra and Impala, as well as some Topi and the Cape Buffalo.
The recently introduced Rothschild giraffes can be seen feeding in the Acacia hocki forests. You may also spot the elusive Eland which is one of Africa’s largest Antelope. After lunch and another game viewing drive along the Lake Mburo banks, you will probably spot some birds like the White Pelicans and the Marabou storks. The Hippos can be seen partly submerged on the Lake, while the crocodiles are usually seen close to the Marshes. In the evening, the game ends when you join the main highway. The return trip to Kampala or Entebbe finally concludes at dusk.
