4 DAYS MASAI MARA TOUR KENYA SAFARI
Day 1 Masai Mara
Morning pick up from your overnight safari in Nairobi. Later, depart along the main highway onto the Nakuru road and proceed to the escarpment. Have a brief stop for highlights of the great views of the East African Great Rift Valley. We will have pictures at this point and proceed through the different scenery. Notice changes from the Mountainous land forms to Savannah grasslands as one heads into the Mara.
Masai Warriors on the village paths
You will get to see the tribal Masai warriors along the roads and will be able to meet some of these on the Masai Mara tour Kenya trip. The Five to six hour drive gets you to the national park, arriving for lunch at the Lodge and relaxation by the pool. later, in the early evening, we will have a tour drive at dusk, to see what the Mara has to offer in terms of game viewing. The wildebeest migrations during the months of August – October head into Kenya. Other wildlife includes, Zebra, Gazelle, Masai giraffe and other wildlife. Have an evening dinner at the lodge restaurant before dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge or the Sarova Game camp Masai Mara. Meal plan – Lunch and Dinner at a private exclusive Tented Camp or Safari Lodge of choice.
Day 2 Maasai Mara Kenya Safari
To maximize the visit to Africa during the migrations, you start with an early breakfast, then have your safari guide begin the morning game drive as early as 06:00am. You have a wake up call, and have hot tea or coffee and snacks, later, start the your tour guide starts the morning drive on the plains of the Masai Mara. You will be utilizing the custom built 4×4 open vehicles where you will be looking out for Lions on hunts, Hyenas following the cats for scraps of meal. The wildebeest fill the plains in thousands, while the Zebra blend in seamlessly with the topis.
Evening game viewing in the Mara
The afternoon, we return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta, later, we drive towards the Mara River to check out the Nile crocodiles feeding on the crossing wildebeest. Elephants, as well as hippos frequent the edges of the River banks. Later, drive back to the Lodge arriving for dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge or the Sarova Game Camp Masai Mara.
Day 3 Masai Mara Safari
You either have an option of a morning wake up call by the lodge staff and start a morning tour into the park. The morning viewing of the Big Five is to find some of the not easy to see animals which include: cheetah, the shy leopards that usually carry their hunts up the trees. Grant’s Gazelle, a favorite meal for the Mara Lions. Troops of Baboons may also be seen along the tracks carrying their young babies on their backs. Elands, which are the largest Antelopes, are also usually seen in herds grazing on the African savannah grasslands.
Optional Balloon safari at Masai Mara
The other option at an extra fee, would be an early morning wake up and join your captain for an African bush Balloon Safari, were wildlife will be seen at sunrise from above. This usually lands at breakfast time when a champagne breakfast is served in the wilderness. In the afternoon, you could also visit a local Masai warriors homestead where you will get to learn about their ways of life. Meals and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge or the Sarova Game Camp Masai Mara.
Day 4 Nairobi
Final Masai Mara tour Kenya is conducted before breakfast. You go out one more time in your open safari vehicle and look out for coke’s Hartebeest, African white rhinos, Grant’s gazelle and Warthogs. Return to the lodge for a buffet breakfast before heading back to Nairobi. You could stop back at the craft village to buy a souvenir from the Samburu or Masai people before heading back into Nairobi in the early afternoon.
