 ABERDARES SAFARI KENYA / SAMBURU NATIONAL GAME RESERVE

Day 1: Aberdare National Park
Have an early start from Nairobi. You depart for the Kenya’s Samburu region, an off the beaten trail safari destination on your Aberdares Safari Kenya tour. Our Aberdares Safari Kenya holiday proceeds to the semi arid plains with some volcanic features. Crossing the Thika plateau and proceeding to the Game reserve through Nanyuki and Isiolo. Have lunch, then later, drive to the head for the Aberdares National park for some evening wildlife safari viewing. Spot some of the rare animals like the Grevy’s Zebra and the Gerenuks. The evening, thereafter, proceed to your overnight accommodations for dinner and overnight at a Treetops Lodge.

Day 2: Samburu

Breakfast at the lodge then have an early morning safari, driving through the Samburu areas. Meanwhile, the local tribesmen of the Samburu in their colorful attire line along the roads carrying spears. The animal viewing starts on the Samburu National park reserve looking for sightings of the Beisa Oryx, Elephant, Gerenuks then the plains Lions. Other wildlife to see on this tour, include; Warthog, Hyena, Giraffe and unique bird-life which feature snake eagles and the other raptors. Meals and Overnight at the Samburu Serena Lodge or Similar.

Day 3: Samburu
Morning breakfast then have an early start along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, viewing the crocodile and the resident Hippos along the swampy banks. The game drives into the Doum Palms and Tamarind forests will reveal the other rare animals, like the Masai Ostrich, the reticulated giraffe that feeds on the taller acacia trees. The Gerenuks on hind limbs nibbling away at the shorter trees and acacia bushes. For the birding safari enthusiasts, you may see the Secretary bird, Martial eagle picking up smaller antelope like the young Impala, similarly the Masai Ostrich and the Kori Bustard. In the late evenings, you may catch the occasional cheetah, or the lion prides stalking Impala by the river banks. Meals then Overnight at the Samburu Serena Lodge or Similar.

Day 4 : Nairobi
Morning breakfast and have one final safari of Kenya to the Samburu reserves, before departing for Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon.
