BIRDWATCHING TOUR KENYA -MASAI MARA/LAKE NAKURU, 5 DAYS

Day 1: Maasai Mara
Morning transfer from Nairobi and proceed to Masai Mara, then begin the birdwatching tour Kenya. Stopping along the way to identify; Red-capped Lark, Pied Crow as well as African Paradise-Flycatcher. Long-tailed Fiscal, Sulfur-breasted Bush shrike, White-headed Barbet, Red-and-yellow Barbet. Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher, Speckled Mouse bird, African Palm-Swift and  Red-eyed Dove. Dark Chanting-Goshawk, Black-shouldered Kite and many others,then stop over for lunch. Later, arrival into the Masai Mara for an evening bird watching tour with some game viewing on the plains. In the evening, proceed to your overnight Lodge for dinner and finally, overnight stay. Options at the Ashnil Tented Camp or Mara Serena Lodge. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Masai Mara Safari
Morning breakfast then have the full day in the Maasai Mara birding the Savannah grasslands and acacia trees for Kori Bustard. Yellow-billed Ox peckers, Hildebrandt Starling, Lappet-faced Vultures, Purple Swamp hen and Blue-headed Coucal. Fork-tailed drongo, Black-billed wood Hoopoe, Ruppell’s Starling, Lilly trotter, Southern Grey Shrike, African Yellow White-eye and many more. Meals and overnight at Ashnil Tented Camp or Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Kenya Safari
The second day of bird watching in the Masai Mara. Your birding tour then focusses on finding Pin-tailed Whydah, Common Waxbill Jackson’s Widow bird, Vitelline Masked-Weaver, White-bellied Canary, Cinnamon-breasted Bunting, Cape Wagtail, Malachite Sunbird, Red-billed Ox pecker Red-winged Starling, African Thrush, African Stone chat, Ashy Flycatcher, Silver bird, Buff-bellied Warbler, White-chinned Prinia, Black Sawing, Banded Martin White-necked Raven, Taita Fiscal, Tropical Boubou, Pygmy Falcon, Red-fronted Barbet and some wildlife viewing for the Big Five. Meals and overnight at the Ashnil Tented Camp or Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru birding

Morning breakfast then proceed to the Lake Nakuru park, as you bird watch along the way. You arrive for your lunch at the Lodge before spending the evening bird watching at Lake Nakuru. Expect to see;White-faced Whistling-Duck, Greater Flamingo, Saddle-billed Stork, Great White Pelican, Goliath Heron, Sacred Ibis, Grasshopper Buzzard, African Fish-Eagle, Black-winged Stilt, Speckled Pigeon, Klaas’s Cuckoo, Striped Kingfisher, Broad-billed Roller, Gray-backed Fiscal, Red-faced Crombec, Marsh Warbler, Brown-backed Scrub-Robin, Wattled Starling, Kenya Rufous Sparrow and other wildlife. Later on, depart to the lodge for  dinner, then overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill lodge.

Day 5: Nairobi Kenya Tours
After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you may bird easy, on the return to Nairobi, or have a quicker transit through Nairobi and we eventually end our birding tour kenya tour as we head to the airport for departure.
