UGANDA WILDLIFE SAFARI, MURCHISON FALLS & QUEEN ELIZABETH COMBINED TOUR

Day one: Kampala to Murchison Falls Safari
Begin the Uganda wildlife safari with a departure in the morning through the towns of Bombo then Luweero. The Combined safari of Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth allows for some stops. Along the way, long crested Eagles on electric poles are a common occurence. Broad billed rollers, black Kites are some of the common birds. Agricultural farmlands and roadside markets stock organic vegetables and fruit. Proceed to have lunch near Kafu, before heading to the Rhino sanctuary at Nakasongola. Out of the comfort of your safari vehicle, you will be tracking the African White Rhino families on foot. The ranger guides conduct a walking safari to explain the different facts about these big five animals.

There after, travel through Masindi town then proceed through several bridged rivers to the Murchison falls top of the falls. The vegetation changes as we approach the falls and at the we transfer to the raging falls where we will take pictures of the mighty Nile. A 7 meter crack in the rift valley creates huge magnificent, white water rapids that thunder downstream in plumes of a rainbow. Later, you will transfer to the Paraa safari Lodge by crossing the Nile on a ferry. Dinner, then overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge.
Meal Plan – Lunch and Dinner.
TRANSIT TIME 5 HOURS.

Day Two: Uganda Wildlife Safari, Murchison Falls
Early morning breakfast then start a morning game drive towards the Airstrip and Pakuba Lodge area. The game ranger will be on hand to answer as many questions you may have on the safari. Lookout for the acacia plant pods that contain tiny irritating insects. The plants use this in a symbiotic relationship against the Giraffes to avoid over browsing. As soon as the the giraffes start browsing on a plant, the insects spread over their nostrils thereby getting them move to the next plant. Look out for signs of Lion tracks as the game ranger points out different animal spoors.

Later, head towards the trees at the Nile Delta a place favored by the lion prides. Animals are mostly active here in the mid afternoon heat, as they come down to drink. Pythons are usually seen here taking Oribi and Uganda Kob. Lion hunts are also common here. The guide ends the Murchison Falls safari then you proceed to have lunch at the Paraa Safari Lodge. Later, with a guide, embark on a wildlife viewing experience on the River Nile. Take a boat cruise, looking at large schools of Hippo grunting along the banks, Nile crocodiles nesting, water birds like the Spur-winged Plovers,African Skimmers, common sand pipers, Red throated Bee eaters, palm nut vultures and others.

The boat heads to the bottom of the falls towards an area called Fajao, then docks at a mid river island for photo opportunities. Later return in the late evening to your accommodation arriving for dinner then overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch with Dinner.

Day Four: Queen Elizabeth Safari Uganda
The morning safari of Queen Elizabeth park starts from the channel track then heads through the Kabatoro gate. Proceed to the northern parts of the 2000square Kilometer park, the areas of the Uganda Kobs. It is here that Lions do most of the hunting in the mornings. Hyenas rise out of their dens to follow the hunting Lions while the vultures on trees would signal a sighting of a lion pride. Possibilities are abound for spotting elephant, the occasional solitary Cape buffalo as well as other species of game.

Return to the safari lodge to have breakfast then spend the mid morning relaxing by poolside and bar. After lunch, the boat ride aboard the luxurious pontoon starts from the Jetty on the kazinga Channel and will be exploring several game viewing points.
