Tanzania Camping tour safari, Manyara,Ngorongoro,Serengeti and Tarangire.

Day 1:
Mid afternoon transfer from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. You will be traveling with your safari guide and the camp cook for your Tanzania camping tour. On arrival, your cook sets up camp and prepares your dinner as you start the safari of Lake manyara. The viewing through the acacia woodland and the flood plains introduces Zebra, herds of cape buffalo and African elephants.

Herds head down for a drink at the Lake Manyara, the lions are the main attraction of this national park. Sometimes be seen in the trees, mostly in the Serengeti, as well as Tarangire. Large troops of Baboons are seen on the track, only to give way as the safari vehicles approach. The evening, have a sunset game viewing safari before heading to your mobile camp for dinner and overnight at the Mobile Camp ground. Meal plan: Dinner.

Day 2: Serengeti camping safari

Morning wake up call and freshening up before an early morning breakfast. Your private camp staff will load up the camping gear as you start a morning tour of the Lake Manyara. Columns of zebra at the first light in the mornings, while the flamingos and the Pelicans illuminate the Lake manyara into a sea of pink. We depart with an en route game drive into the Serengeti game reserve arriving in the early afternoon for game viewing.

Your safari chef will either prepare a hot lunch, or you could opt to carry a picnic lunch from Lake Manyara. The evening game drive in the Serengeti will mainly be geared towards the larger concentration of the migrating wildebeest, Zebra and Topi. Thereafter, see some of the rare animals like the Spotted Hyenas and the screaming sounds from the African rock Hyrax. Later on, head on the way back to camp for dinner and overnight at your private camp site. Meals and overnight at the Serengeti Mobile safari camp.

Day 3:
Early morning breakfast and start another Serengeti safari, you will be driving to the expansive plains where the feeding wildebeest, as well as the Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle will be feeding from. It is here that the usual big cats are usually active as they hunt at dawn. Cheetah’s are also usually seen running down the gazelles, while the solitary cape buffalo is also always wary of the Lions or the Hyenas. We return to the camp for lunch before having the evening safari of the Serengeti to find Elephants, the largest antelope in Africa, the Eland, Ostriches and Giraffes. Later, have a leisurely drive back to camp for dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Safari Camp ground.

Day 4: Ngorongoro camping safari

After breakfast, your safari guide will load up the camping equipment then you will depart for a short safari through the Serengeti where Elephants and Elands can be seen in large numbers. Visit the Olduvai Museum, where Louis and Mary Leakey discovered stone tools used by the early man in about 25-million years ago. At this place too, you will also see another Dr. Leakey discovery, a fossilized complete skull of Homo habilis the first human to use tools. We will later, proceed to the Ngorongoro Simba Mobile Campsite or other camp ground for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:
After breakfast, the safari vehicles will join a hundreds of other visitors as we drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater. The morning safari starts towards the bottom of the Crater where a large concentration of Tanzania’s Big Five can be seen. We will have some viewing of wildlife in the yellow fever trees where we are likely to spot Black Rhino, wildebeest, as well as Zebra.

Towards the floor of the park, Hippos occupy the springs of the Ngoitokitok a lovely spot for a picnic lunch. Other animals seen in the crater include; cape buffalo, the occasional elephant, prides of Lion, bat-eared foxes, the elusive leopards that carry their prey of Grant’s or Thomson’s gazelle into the trees, away from the marauding spotted hyenas and the Jackals. Later, we will return to the top of the Caldera for dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Simba Mobile Campsite or other camp ground.

Day 6: Tarangire camping safari

Morning breakfast and dismantle the camp, before driving into the Tarangire National Park. As we end our Tanzania camping tour, we will then have lunch on the Tarangire wilderness as we start the morning safari along the Tarangire River flood plains. The rich swampland and the Acacia woodlands host populations of wildebeest and Zebra. With the best months being between June and October each year. Look out for Zebra, the endangered Black Rhino, Gerenuks, tree climbing Lions, Coke’s Hartebeest and Giraffe. Later in the evening, spend time at the camp fire, before dinner and overnight at the Mobile Camp in Tarangire National Park.

Day 7:
Morning breakfast and load up your camping gear, then your safari vehicle departs Tarangire.Arrives Arusha or to the airport in Kilimanjaro for the departure flight.
