10 Days Samburu Camping safari, with Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara

Day 1: Arrive at the airport in Nairobi, met and given a short briefing by your safari guide. Later on, briefing about the Samburu Camping safari before driving to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight at the Parkside Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. Meals are not Included this day. Option of evening entertainment or dinning at nearby restaurants.

Day 2: Samburu Reserve Kenya Safari
Morning breakfast at the Hotel, later, board your safari vehicle for the camping safari of the Samburu game reserve. You drive north into the semi arid country of the Samburu tribesmen. On arrival after a lunch break, your safari guide will assist with setting up camp. Later on, the chef begins preparing your favorite dinner in the open African Bush. Game in this area includes some of the rare animals like the Grevy’s Zebra. The ever stretching Gerenuks feed on the short tree leaves, meanwhile, see Somali Ostriches as well as the Reticulated giraffe. The game drive ends late in the evening with a return to camp to freshen up then have dinner. Eventually, a camp fire over drinks, dinner and overnight at the mobile camp in Samburu.BLD

Day 3: Samburu and Buffalo Springs

Morning breakfast and start an early morning game drive in your open topped safari vehicle. The ranger guide will be taking you through the game viewing tracks to see the wildlife of the Samburu area. Look out for the Beisa Oryx, a magnificent antelope with very sharp horns and some conspicuous facial markings that make this animal distinct. You may spot the Water bucks, as well as the Cape Buffalo as well as the African Elephants. Later in the day, proceed to the Buffalo Springs Game reserve for another session of game viewing where you can see Jackals scavenging as well as lions on hunts. Meals and overnight at your Mobile campsite. BLD

Day 4:  Thomson falls and Nakuru Kenya safari

Early breakfast, as the guide assists with the dismantling of your camping equipment and loading up the supplies. Later, we will transfer to the Lake Nakuru national park, stopping along the way to have lunch through the Thompson’s Falls. We will drive into the park to set up camp before a short game drive in the area to spot the flamingos and the endangered rhinos. Have dinner by the camp fire before overnight at your Mobile camp at Lake Nakuru. BLD

Day 5: Arrival into Lake nakuru

Breakfast in the morning and embark on a morning game viewing drive into the Lake Nakuru National Park. The tracks along Lake Nakuru are popular for wildlife viewing as the Lake attracts animals in the mid morning heat for a drink. The thousands of flamingos are usually seen feeding off the algae in the Lake, while the other birds like the sandpipers would be seen feeding at the banks. One of Kenya’s Big Five, the Rhino, is mostly seen in this park while other smaller antelopes like the Impala, Waterbuck, Eland and Grant’s Gazelle attract the Lions. Kirk’s Dik dik, a small shy antelope may also be seen on the game drive. Meals and overnight at the Mobile camp in Lake Nakuru. BLD

Day 6: We have breakfast and break up camp, Lake Naivasha would be the next destination
Have an en route game viewing safari and depart for Lake Naivasha in the mid morning. We will arrive around lunch time and set up cam while the chef prepares lunch. After the meal, have an afternoon excursion to the Hell’s gate National park. The park’s historical Volcanic activity has given rise to features that the locals call “hells gate” due to the scary nature. Alongside game viewing for baboon watching, Lions and leopard spotting, you could have an off the beaten track walking experience in the rocky setting as well as seeing the landscape which features in the Movie,”Sheena Queen of the Jungle”. After spending some time at the geothermal steam geyser, return to your overnight accommodation for dinner and overnight. BLD

Day 7: Masai Mara Safari

Morning breakfast and departure for the Masai Mara game reserve. Have lunch before an afternoon game viewing safari on the plains of the Mara. Look out for cheetah, Elephant herds, ad well as the Topis, Zebra and Wildebeests which are seen crossing the Mara River during the annual migration. Look out for Olive Baboons, Cheetahs on their daily hunting routines, large prides of lion, cape buffalo, Hippos at the river banks, Zebra and Impala grazing on the plains. In the afternoon, you have either an option of another game drive, or a tour to the Masai tribesmen to see the way of life of these people who live alongside the wildlife in the Mara game reserve. Dinner and overnight at the campsite on the Mara. BLD

Day 8 – 9: Masai Mara Game Drives

If possible, you have an option of viewing the Mara animals in a Balloon, which soars in the morning currents as the wildlife is seen from above. This safari ends with a full five star champagne breakfast in the bush, overlooking the wild animals. In the afternoon, we go out to the river crossings in the hope of seeing the migrating wildebeests as well as the crocodiles ambushing their prey from the river banks amidst the noisy Hippos.Meals and overnight at the campsite at Masai Mara. Day 10: Kenya Tour
Masai Mara – Nairobi
The final day on safari in Kenya starts with the game drive and break up of the camp, the driver guide would transfer to the scenic view point on the Rift Valley. You will shop for a couple of souvenirs before heading to Nairobi. Later, transfer to the airport for check in for your international departure flight.
