FIRST TIME IN AFRICA UGANDA SAFARI WITH GORILLAS AND CHIMPS, WILDLIFE TOUR
Day one: Arrival into Uganda
Arrival from your flight connections through Europe, from the USA, Canada, Australia or other departure country. Being your first time in Africa Uganda safari, you will be met on arrival at the airport, and transferred to your overnight accommodation. Your safari guide will assist with check in before dinner and overnight at the Lake Victoria Serena Lodge. Travel time from Entebbe Airport to the Hotel, is approximately 40 minutes. Meals included: Dinner.
Day Two: Murchison Falls Safari Uganda
After recovering from jet-lag, you will wake up to an early morning breakfast, with lovely views of the Lake Victoria, enjoying the sights of the Local Fishermen and the birds in the sky. Later, your guide will assist with the check out and loading up your luggage, before starting your morning transfer through the heavy traffic. The drive through te luwero and Bombo districts takes you to the African White Rhino wildlife sanctuary at Nakasongola, where you will be guided on a walking safari to see one of the rare endangered Rhinos. After lunch, you drive through the sleepy town of Masindi and proceed to the Murchison falls National Park arriving for an early afternoon tour of the top of the falls. The river Nile is compressed into a series of raging white rapids in the rift valley to provide some of the best photo opportunities along the longest River in the World, the Nile. Later, proceed to the ferry crossing point at Paraa and cross to the overnight Safari Lodge arriving for dinner and overnight at the Paraa Lodge. Meals provided this day are; Breakfast at Lake Victoria Serena, Lunch at the Rhino Sanctuary and Dinner at Murchison Falls National park’s Paraa Safari Lodge. Traveling time: About 6-7 hours, depending on the stops .
Day Three: Uganda Safari to Kibale
Morning breakfast by about 06:00am before starting the morning safari tour of the Murchison falls national park. Your photo safari begins with a drive through the former airfield at Paraa and on through a section of Borassus Palms, where you may spot giraffe, hartebeest, Oribi, Cape Buffalo and elephant. You drive through the Pakuba area and the Delta tracks looking for Lion prides on the morning hunt, you may also be lucky to spot the Leopard in the Savannah forests close to the tracks as well as the Hyenas and other wildlife. The morning game viewing ends around noon, when your Safari guide brings you back to the Hotel for an afternoon swim at the pool before lunch at Paraa Lodge. In the early afternoon, you will transfer by game viewing pontoon, gliding along the banks of the Nile, where you will be seeing Hippos, Nile crocodile, Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Deffassa Waterbuck, African Jacana, or the Rare shoe billed stork. The boat anchors amongst the rocks towards the base of the Murchison Falls, where you will take pictures of this magnificent view, discovered by the Bakers in 1865 on their African travels to find the source of the Nile. Return later in the evening, arriving for dinner and overnight at the Paraa Safari Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Lodge.
Day four: Chimpanzee Tracking Tour Uganda
Early breakfast at Paraa safari lodge, then transfer to Kibale Forest following the scenic drive close to Lake Albert and the Blue Mountains of the Congo. A picnic lunch will be provided along the way, as you drive through the traditional African Villages. You transfer through the town of Fort portal, with its beautiful tea plantations, and proceed to the close to the Kibale Forest, arriving for dinner and overnight at the Chimpanzee Guest House. Travel time estimate, about 7 hours.
Day five: Chimps and Queen National park tour
Breakfast at the Lodge, at a mountain side overlooking the Ruwenzori Mountains. Later, drive to the nearby Kibale National park for the morning Uganda chimps safari experience. Walking through the forest, with your guides, you will be able to learn about the other species of primates, that live in the forest, and may also encounter Black and White colubus monkeys, red tails, mangabeys, l’ hoest monkeys, Olive baboons before finally getting face to face with a troop of habituated Chimpanzees as close as 10 metres. Viewing is allowed up to about and hour, before returning to have lunch, and heading to the nearby Queen Elizabeth National park for dinner and overnight at Katara Lodge. Meal s included: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day six:
Pre breakfast tea, hot chocolate or coffee and later, set off for a morning safari of Queen Elizabeth National park. You drive from the Mweya Peninsular, looking out for Giant forest hog, warthog, elephant, Bushbuck, waterbuck, spotted hyena and leopard, before heading to the Kasenyi plains to find the lion prides on their morning hunts. After viewing the animals on this part of the park, we return to the lodge, for a buffet breakfast and a mid morning dip in the swimming pool as we await lunch. After lunch, a cruise on the Kazinga channel follows the banks to see many of the migrant birds, Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, Monitor lizards, African Pied Kingfishers, Uganda Kob and other wildlife that comes down to drink water in the afternoon heat. Return later for an evening by the pool, before dinner and overnight at Katara Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day seven: Transfer to Bwindi
Breakfast in the morning and proceed on a 4 hour drive into the Ishasha region, where you may spot Red tailed monkeys, black and white colubus monkeys, Patas monkeys, Vervet monkeys and baboons by the roadside on the fringes of the tropical rain forests of Karinzu and maramagambo. Later, drive through an elephant section of the park, where bulls are usually spotted felling acacia trees and feeding on their bark. You will see Topi, Uganda Kob, Cape buffalo and may be lucky to spot the tree climbing lions in the fig trees by the side of the main road to Bwindi. After your picnic lunch, proceed through the changing vegetation that turns from the Savannah grassland, into a typical impenetrable tropical rain forest on arrival at Bwindi. Dinner and overnight, at the Gorilla’s Resort Bwindi Camp.
Day eight:
Morning wake up call and either breakfast by your balcony, overlooking the rain forest, or at the main dining restaurant. You will be provided with a picnic lunch and a walking stick to facilitate the gorilla trekking in the forest. Later, transfer to the starting point at Buhoma, where the briefing commences. The gorilla safari would then start from here , as the main party of trackers, Uganda wildlife authority personnel and you guide start the trek in the forest to find the gorilla family. The trackers and guides will be trailing the Mountain gorillas on foot and on sighting them, you are allowed an hour of viewing the gorillas before returning to your overnight accommodations after a picnic lunch in the forest.

Day nine:
Breakfast at about 0700hrs and depart for the National park of Lake Mburo . You drive through a region of beautiful almost treeless grassland, with hundreds of the long horned Ankole cows. On arrival at Lake Mburo, you will have an afternoon safari in the Acacia Savannah where hundreds of Zebra, Cape buffalo, Eland, Topi and Impala can be seen. Meals and overnight at the Lake Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day ten:
A morning breakfast is preceded with a walking safari by the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide who will be interpreting the Eco- systems of the park. The thrill of walking amongst the wildlife in the park is not comparable to any other safari experience on a Uganda safari. You may be lucky, to catch the hyenas in their dens or surprising the Zebras at the waterhole, as you arrive from a different area of the swamp. Elands may also be seen congregating along some natural salt licks, as well as the Topi which can be seen perching on earth mounds, in hope of spotting the danger ahead of time. Later, depart for Masaka town and proceed through the katonga swamps, where you may see the Long crested eagles on top of the electric posts. A brief stop at the equator to take pictures can be considered before heading to Kampala after lunch arriving for dinner and overnight at the Lake Victoria Serena Resort. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day eleven:
After a morning breakfast, a short drive along the shores of Lake Victoria leads to the Entebbe International airport, to board your departure flight home.
