Uganda Budget Gorilla Trek, Bwindi 2018
Day one: Begin the Uganda budget gorilla trek program with a pick up from Kampala or Entebbe. The safari guide organizes a short briefing prior to the morning departure through Central Kampala. Thereafter, have a stop over at the Uganda Equator to take pictures and have a stretch. From here, drive towards Mbarara and stop for pictures of the Ankole long horned cattle. Have a lunch break at the Agip Motel and then proceed through Ishaka through the plains of Ishasha. If lucky, see African Elephants, Topi, Uganda Kob, Cape Buffalo, Red tailed monkeys, Baboon or the Tree climbing Lions. Later, proceed to Bwindi and check in for dinner at the Gorilla resort Camp.
Day two: Breakfast at the lodge overlooking the impenetrable forest, then transfer to the park offices with picnic lunches. The Uganda Budget Gorilla Trek commences with a briefing on the gorilla trekking etiquette, then the arduous climb into gorilla land. The Mountain gorilla family sighting at a close up of about 20 feet lasts one hour. Gorilla guides will then transfer back to the camp for a refreshing shower and evening at leisure. Alternatively, visit the Batwa pygmies or take a waterfalls trail to the Munyaga waterfalls. Maybe, see some blue and red tailed monkeys. Meals as well as the overnight at your overnight accommodation.
Day Three: Early morning breakfast and eventual departure to Kampala with picnic lunches. The long drive through verdant countryside ends late evening with a drop off at the pickup point.
