On arrival at the Mabamba swamp, the local guides will transfer into the swamp on dugout canoes as they point out other species of birds.
You would be looking out for sightings of the Hammerkops, purple Swamp hen, African Marsh harrier in the mid-morning currents above the area. Also, the colorful African Pygmy and Malachite Kingfishers. Yellow billed ducks, Purple Herons, Angola swallows and the Blue breasted Kingfishers may be observed. Gliding through the swamp waterways, you finally get to find the Massive Shoe billed stork in the thickets, fishing for the lungfish and amphibians on Lake Victoria.
Later, your guide will bring you to Mpigi in the early afternoon for an early lunch.
